A Sad Excuse For a Fun Experience

Lets face it, there are not very many good game apps on the Iphone that are not just simple card or puzzle games. So when I heard about this game, I became genuinely interested. I downloaded it the day it came out, and prepared myself for a night of fun, and then I heard the writing. The story is the most generic piece of literature you have ever heard. Its about a man who has some unexplained power and uses a machine to trap ghosts with the help of a nutty professor. Yeah. And if the boring story wasnt bad enough, this game has some cringe worthy dialog. I can forgive giving the first ghost you see the name casper, and even the main character saying "cant we all just get along?" when being beaten by the police, but I almost broke my Iphone when I heard a cop say "you have the right to an attorney, but not for barn burners." This game isnt all bad, the sound design is great for a app, but unless you have watch the movies ghost busters and back to the future over 500 times each, and wanted to see what they would be like if someone combined them together and took out half of the fun, then stay away from Soul Trapper.
